Does it seem like every movie these days is either a sequel or prequel of something else? It looks like every film from the last 50 years is being rebooted. I enjoy those films, and I will go to see them again. No problem. But if we take a look into the past, sequels used to be rare, and new films were the norm.

What we need is a fresh start, and I am hoping to be part of this new trend.

Eventually, people are going to get sick of reheated, rehashed, and garnished leftovers, especially if there is no other option on the big screen. We need something new, interesting, and unique. AI is making it both harder and easier to get the message out. With its help, we can develop our ideas and come up with a starting point. However, if we let it take our creativity from us, we will ultimately fail. So, sure, use the tools, but remember that you are the artist, and that AI is just a tool, like a “pen” that you are holding to put your story to paper. Keeping that in perspective is the key.

AI can help get the message out. But remember that you are the artist, and AI is a tool, a pen that helps bring your ideas to paper.

The future of film inspires me, because once in a while, I get a glimpse of something new. And isn’t it cool that the most original stuff is in the realm of biblical storytelling. Now, talk about rehashing! Yet, “The Chosen” gave an absolutely breathtaking freshness to an old, old story. As a person of faith and as an aspiring filmmaker, I am here for this.

A People Hungry for Authenticity

The best advice for upcoming storytellers of all kinds is be authentic to your own style and flavor. Do not try to be like anyone else. Listen, just give us something that we have never seen before, and your audience will find you. And your message will be out there in the world. Isn’t that the entire goal?
